As the lead Postdoctoral Research Fellow on an ARC-funded, laboratory-based project, “Rest and Readiness: What is the Optimal Nap Length During Night Shifts?”, you will drive innovative research at CQUniversity’s Appleton Institute in Adelaide.

Position Requirements

 

  • Hold a relevant doctoral qualifications (or very near PhD completion) in psychology, sleep, neuroscience, workplace health and safety, or a related field.
  • Research experience and/or contribution which has resulted in publications, conference papers, reports or professional or technical contributions which give evidence of research potential.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in research areas of research strength and a willingness to engage in sourcing and obtaining external grants and contracts.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and in multidisciplinary teams as well as providing guidance and oversight of others involved in project-based work.
  • Proven ability to undertake comprehensive investigative research work, demonstrating expertise and skill in research methods and ability, including analysis, interpretation of statistics and preparation of research reports and papers.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to work systematically and independently to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
