Position Requirements

 

Essential

  •  PhD qualification with at least 5 years’ postdoctoral research experience in designing, executing, controlling and coordinating complex multisite research studies.
  • Understanding, awareness and experience with ethical, legal, and social implications of research involving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Experience of leadership in working within multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, researchers, policy makers, and community representatives.
  • Demonstrated track record in conducting health services research.


Desirable

  • Sensitivity and awareness of the principles of data sovereignty as they apply to research involving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Understanding of genetic healthcare, including hereditary diseases, genetic counselling, and the impact of genetic factors on health outcomes.
