Working at CQUniversity

The School of Access Education supports the overall management of CQUniversity’s enabling course, Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS). It also hosts the Academic Learning Centre (ALC), which supports undergraduate, postgraduate and VET students throughout their studies.

You will contribute to the school's teaching efforts, particularly in the field of mathematics. This role requires a dedication to Enabling Education and the capability to teach mathematical concepts from primary to tertiary levels.

The role also involves supporting undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students in mathematics. In carrying out these responsibilities, you will deliver assigned teaching duties both on and off campus, ensuring a high standard of planning, preparation, presentation, and assessment to help students achieve unit and course objectives. Additionally, you will undertake general administrative duties for the school at the local campus. The successful applicant will have a demonstrated ability to contribute positively to the team culture through effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Position Requirements

• Relevant undergraduate qualification or equivalent in the discipline area.
• An understanding of current professional and educational issues in the domain.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to pursue a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching/Education.
• Knowledge and commitment to the principles of adult learning and lifelong learning.
• A proven record in scholarship and/or research.
