The School of Access Education plays a key role in expanding access to higher education, delivering innovative pathways, short courses and micro-credentials that support lifelong learning and workforce readiness.

 

As a key member of the School of Access Education team, you will contribute to the design, development and delivery of high-quality micro-credentials that are industry relevant, flexible and student focused. Working closely with subject matter experts, teaching teams and educational designers, you will help ensure micro-credentials remain current, engaging and aligned with CQUniversity policy and design principles.

 

You will also act as a point of contact for students undertaking STEPS micro-credentials, providing timely academic support and contributing to a positive online learning experience. We are seeking a collaborative and student-centred academic with experience in online education, strong communication skills and a commitment to adult and lifelong learning.

Position Requirements

 

  • Completion of a relevant bachelor’s degree, with industry or professional experience and sound knowledge of university standards and academic writing.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting student learning, including literacy development or academic skills, with a strong student focused approach.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and build productive working relationships within teaching teams and across the University.
  • Confidence using learning management systems and digital tools, including Moodle and common business software, to support online delivery.
  • Commitment to adult and lifelong learning principles, with the ability to adapt, collaborate and contribute to continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
