Given the success and growth of the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences’ Social Work courses, we are seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer. The successful applicant will actively contribute to the Social Work courses through student centered teaching practice and development, contribute to the research profile of the school through their publications, and undertake relevant engagement and service activities to support and promote the Social Work course with the School of NMSS.
You will be a highly engaged, innovative and inspiring academic, committed to reflective teaching practice; enhancing the student learning experience and graduate outcomes; and preparing graduates to enter the field with confidence and competence. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be dedicated to working collegially across multi-disciplinary teams. Your strong links within the discipline will enable effective collaboration with internal and external colleagues on research activities.
Position Requirements
- Relevant PhD or Doctoral Degree
- Proven record in scholarship and/or excellence in research, including peer-reviewed publications in international/national journals of high repute and successful research grant applications.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in research areas of research strength and a willingness to engage in sourcing and obtaining external grants and contracts
- Demonstrated ability to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students with experience engaging with tertiary students and supporting their educational development through multi-modal delivery strategies, including online teaching platforms;
- Provide a high standard of teaching and enhance the student learning experience by actively engaging in the adoption of existing and emerging learning technology and platforms; and
- providing flexible options across blended and online delivery modes.
- Undertake research activities that align with the research profile of the University
- Experienced in supervision of Honours, Masters, and PhD students.
