We’re seeking an Associate Lecturer – Science (Biology & Chemistry) to support high-quality teaching and contribute to the scholarly life of the School. This role is ideal for an early-career academic or discipline professional looking to build their teaching profile while developing scholarly and research capability within a supportive academic environment.

As an Associate Lecturer, you will support Enabling, undergraduate and postgraduate students in Biology and Chemistry through engaging, student-centred learning experiences. Working under the guidance of senior academics, you will support unit delivery, assessment, and curriculum development while continuing to build your professional and scholarly expertise.

Position Requirements

 

  • Completion of a relevant undergraduate qualification or equivalent in the discipline area.
  • Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching/Education or equivalent (or a willingness to complete one).
  • Understanding of current professional and educational issues in the domain.
  • Proven record of scholarship and/or excellence in research.
  • Knowledge and commitment to the principles of adult learning and lifelong learning.
