CQUniversity is seeking a dedicated Project Assistant to join our Wellbeing Directorate to support the delivery of several wellbeing programs. You will play a key part in strengthening wellbeing initiatives across the University, with a particular focus on Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
This role also provides broad administrative and operational support, including preparing communication materials, coordinating event logistics, maintaining digital content, and supporting financial processes. You will help ensure smooth workflows through effective record‑keeping, secretarial support, and professional handling of enquiries. In addition, you will provide assistance to the Indigenous Student Wellbeing Project Officer and the SEWB Student Counsellor to enhance the experiences, success, and retention of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at CQUniversity.

Position Requirements
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, with the ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with First Nations students and communities.
- Demonstrated understanding of factors influencing student health and wellbeing, including the diverse needs of students from various backgrounds.
- Current enrolment in a CQUniversity undergraduate course, with completion of at least one year of university education in any discipline.
- Functional use of Microsoft applications or capacity to learn.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience working with diverse groups and communities, including engagement with Traditional Owners and local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. (Desirable)
