  • Total Remuneration for Academic B $130,270 to $153,255 pa (including salary of $110,080 to $129,503 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
  • Total Remuneration for Academic C $157,855 to $180,372 pa (including salary of $133,390 to $152,417 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

Position Requirements

 

  • Level B: qualifications in paramedicine, and/or postgraduate qualifications; Level C: Doctoral (preferred) qualifications in paramedicine or equivalent accreditation and standing relevant to the discipline.
  • Higher education teaching qualification or willingness to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching/Education.
  • Actual or ability to obtain registration as a paramedic with the Paramedicine Board of Australia.
  • Knowledge of the scope of practice of paramedics which contributes to the development of the curriculum, teaching and assessment.
  • Understanding of accreditation and current professional and educational issues in the domain.
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivery of clinical simulation.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate University paramedic science students using flexible delivery systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in  areas of research strength.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to take academic administrative tasks, a team leadership role, and mentor junior academic staff.
  • Demonstrated capacity to engage and network effectively with industry and community partners and stakeholders.
