CQUniversity’s School of Trades offers a wide range of vocational training certificates across various trade disciplines. As the Purchasing, Logistics and Administration Officer, you will ensure the smooth operation of our campus by delivering high-quality, customer-focused supply and technical services to both internal and external clients.

 

In this role, you will assist with procuring essential materials and equipment, working closely with teaching staff to meet school needs. You will also handle financial tasks like purchase orders and corporate card reconciliations, ensuring compliance with university policies while finding cost-effective solutions. Additionally, you will liaise with contractors and suppliers to coordinate repairs, maintenance, and the efficient setup of equipment for course delivery. This role will also require you to provide general administrative assistance and support to School of Trades staff in Emerald.

Position Requirements

 

  • Knowledge or ability to learn supply management systems, Windows-based computers, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge of non-trade maintenance tasks as well as CQUniversity finance and purchasing related policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of Load Shifting, Dangerous Goods Handling and Occupational Workplace Health and Safety practices.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with team members, clients, and suppliers while adapting to changing needs and handling difficult clients with effective communication skills.
  • Completion of an associate diploma level qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
