As the Communications and Engagement Officer, you’ll play a vital role in sharing the story of the Gladstone Healthy Harbour Partnership (GHHP) with the community, partners, and key stakeholders. This is your opportunity to combine your creativity, coordination skills, and community focus in a role that directly contributes to environmental awareness and positive regional outcomes.
In this dynamic role, you’ll lead engaging communications and coordinate community events that champion GHHP’s mission. From managing social media and producing publications to driving community outreach, you’ll help showcase the vital work being done to keep Gladstone’s harbour thriving.

Position Requirements
- Strong written and visual communication skills with experience creating content for diverse audiences, including managing social media, websites, and newsletters.
- Proven ability to coordinate and promote community events or educational activities, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and outreach.
- Relevant degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Training or experience in science communication, environmental education, or related fields, with the ability to translate complex environmental information into clear, accessible messaging. (Desirable)
- Experience in digital marketing, media production, or event coordination, with strong skills in creating engaging content across multiple platforms. (Desirable)
