Join STEM Central, a CQUniversity-led initiative driving STEM education, innovation and workforce development in the Gladstone region. Working within the School of Education and the Arts, you will contribute to nationally significant research that explores the impact of STEM programs on students, educators, industry and communities.

 

In this position, you will undertake and publish high-quality research, design and evaluate research activities, analyse qualitative and quantitative data, engage with diverse stakeholders, contribute to funding applications and collaborative projects, and engage with education, industry, community and First Nations stakeholders. You will join a multidisciplinary team working collaboratively to strengthen STEM engagement and inform future workforce development initiatives.

Position Requirements

 

  • Completion of a postdoctoral degree in education, science education, psychology, community engagement, evaluation, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated understanding of STEM education and/or citizen science, including contemporary issues, trends and practice.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary, geographically dispersed research team.
  • Experience contributing to high-quality research outcomes, with a willingness to support the development of external funding opportunities, grants and research partnerships.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships and provide advice and consultation to internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
