You will be delivering your services to the public in practicing salons at our Mackay, Rockhampton and Gladstone campuses, all the while accessing the latest in industry trends and equipment to ensure our students achieve the highest quality learning outcomes.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from appropriately qualified professionals with extensive practical experience to teach and tutor our students within the following vocational courses:
- Certificate II in Salon Assistant
- Certificate III in Hairdressing
Possession of a TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a Diploma or a higher-level qualification in adult education is required for face-to-face teaching roles, however not required for tutoring roles.

Position Requirements
- TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a Diploma or a higher-level qualification in adult education (essential for face-to-face teaching roles).
- Possession of a vocational qualification relevant to the discipline.
- At least three years full time employment experience as a hairdresser in a salon environment, where you have applied the skills and knowledge covered in each unit of competency of the hairdressing qualification. This cannot include time served as an apprentice.
- Experience teaching learning programs for classroom, industry, distance and web-based clients (desirable).
