- Total Remuneration $123,737 to $137,091 pa (including salary of $104,560 to $115,844 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
- Equivalent Hourly Rate: $55.27 to $61.24 per hour

Get off the tools and into teaching
Are you an experienced Auto Electrician ready for a change? Why not use your hands-on experience to inspire the next generation of tradespeople. CQUniversity is on the lookout for industry pros who want to get off the tools – at least to some extent – and get into teaching. You’ll deliver training for the Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology,, using your real-world expertise to prepare students for the workplace.
A minimum qualification in Automotive Electrical Technology is required. Dual-trade candidates, particularly those with a qualification in Automotive Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or another complementary trade, will be highly regarded.

No teaching experience? No worries! If you're passionate about your trade and enjoy mentoring, we’ll support you in becoming a qualified trainer. You'll earn while you complete the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, with guidance from our team every step of the way.

Position Requirements
- Possession of a relevant qualification in automotive electrical technology or similar.
- Willingness to obtain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122), if not already completed.
- Knowledge of the education and training sector and the ability to positively respond to new directions and demands of the training market.
- Demonstrated current industry skills directly relevant to the training/assessment being delivered.
