The School of Engineering and Technology is focused on engaged and innovative education to benefit students, industry and communities in regional areas and beyond. We undertake industry-focused research and consultancy work in several areas of significance for regional Queensland and the wider Australian community, including rail, computational intelligence, simulation, automation, power and energy and materials.
We are seeking expressions of interest from appropriately qualified markers, tutors and lecturers to support the delivery of our project management courses during 2026.
CQUniversity offers three terms of enrolment per year and casual academic staff are contracted based on student enrolments each term. Please note this vacancy is a casual pool. Your expression of interest will remain valid until the end of 2026. You will only be contacted if appropriate casual work becomes available whilst your application is active.
Position Requirements
- PhD in Project Management or a related discipline.
- Advanced professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner).
- Demonstrated industry experience in a project leadership role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management theories, global standards, competency frameworks, guidelines, and terminology, including current editions of the PMBOK Guide (6th, 7th, and 8th), supported by relevant professional membership (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
- Demonstrated engagement with the field through scholarly publications, peer reviews, leadership of professional development activities, or other ongoing contributions to project, program, and portfolio management and/or learning and teaching practices in the discipline (preferred for research-active candidates).
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven teaching experience in project management at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels (highly desirable).
