We have an opportunity available within our School to join our dynamic team as a Senior Lecturer in Public Health. You will predominantly contribute to the teaching efforts of the School while also engaging in activities to enhance and advance your scholarly and/or professional pursuits related to the field. You will be responsible for delivering assigned teaching responsibilities both on and off campus, ensuring effective planning, preparation, presentation, and assessment, all aimed at helping students successfully meet the objectives of their units and courses across a range of areas in Public Health. You will have a strong connection with the Jawun Research Centre in community led research projects focusing on Indigenous health and wellbeing.

Position Requirements

 

  • Completed PhD in relevant discipline or equivalent accreditation or standing.
  • Thorough understanding of social determinants of health within a public health context.
  • Proven ability to teach and supervise postgraduate University students with experience engaging with tertiary students and supporting their educational development through multi-modal delivery strategies.
  • Proven experience in and understanding of indigenous public health issues including a community-based approach, systems thinking and/or emergency and disaster management within a public health context.
  • Demonstrated capacity to engage and network effectively with industry and community partners and stakeholders.
