  • Fixed-Term (until 09.11.2026), Part-Time ( 0.5FTE - 36.25hrs/fortnight)

  • Associate Lecturer (Academic A) – Total Remuneration $49,217 to $64,375 pa (including salary of $41,589 to $54,398 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
  • Lecturer (Academic B) – Total Remuneration $67,442 to $78,935 pa (including salary of $56,990 to $66,701 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
  • One position available. Appointment level will be based on the attributes and experience of the successful candidate. Please indicate your preferred level in your application.

About the Role

 

We are seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team as an academic in the field of Humanities. The successful applicant will contribute to teaching a range of undergraduate units in the Bachelor of Arts, including units within our Literary Studies and/or Creative Writing majors.

 

You will play a vital role in teaching students both on‑campus and via online education. Through effective planning, preparation, presentation and assessment, you will support students to achieve unit and course learning outcomes.

Position Requirements

 

  • Relevant qualification in a Humanities discipline, with teaching and/or professional experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑quality undergraduate teaching using flexible and student‑centred approaches.
  • Ability to undertake assessment, marking and provide timely feedback to students.
  • Capacity to contribute to unit development and work collaboratively within an academic team.
  • Commitment to scholarly, research or professional activity appropriate to appointment level
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to use learning technologies (e.g. Moodle) and university systems.
