- Associate Professor (Level D) – Total Remuneration $192,505 to $210,526 pa (including salary of $162,670 to $177,898 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
- Professor (Level E) – Total Remuneration $243,572 pa (including salary of $205,822 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

Lead the delivery of programs that inspire the next generation of psychologists, prepare graduates for for safe, ethical, and evidence-based practice, and make a meaningful difference in the community. We are seeking an academic leader to drive excellence across our postgraduate professional programs, Master of Clinical Psychology, Master of Clinical Psychology (Advanced Entry), and Master of Professional Psychology programs, and play a key role in shaping the future of psychology education.
In this position, you will lead curriculum design, accreditation compliance, and teaching excellence, while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration in clinical training. The priority for this position will be leadership in curriculum and teaching, however there is scope to engage in research and research higher degree supervision. The appointment may be made at Associate Professor (Level D) or Professor (Level E), depending on your experience and achievements.
As an Associate Professor (Level D), you will provide academic leadership across teaching, research translation, clinical training and professional practice. You will lead curriculum development, evaluate and enhance program quality, and ensure alignment with APAC accreditation standards and national benchmarks. You will contribute to strategic initiatives and work collaboratively with senior leaders and relevant committees to support academic excellence and continuous improvement.
As a Professor (Level E), you will be a recognised leader in psychology education and training, providing strategic direction across our postgraduate psychology programs. You will shape curriculum innovation, clinical training, influence educational and accreditation policy, mentor academic staff, and lead multidisciplinary teams. You will build and strengthen national and international partnerships to advance psychology education, research translation and professional practice.

Position Requirements
- Doctoral qualification (PhD or equivalent) in psychology, plus a Masters-level qualification meeting registration requirements OR a professional doctorate combining these elements.
- General registration with Ahpra as a Psychologist, with endorsement in Clinical Psychology preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor colleagues and foster a culture of excellence; at Level E, proven capability to lead multidisciplinary teams and contribute to strategic planning.
- Board approval (or eligibility) to supervise provisional psychologists, with preference given to applicants who are already approved supervisors.
- Strong (Level D) or distinguished (Level E) record of teaching excellence, with leadership in innovative online and blended pedagogy.
- Growing (Level D) or established (Level E) research profile, with evidence of research impact, high-quality publications, competitive funding, and supervision of honours and postgraduate students.
- Demonstrated experience in professional and community engagement, with evidence of scholarly and professional impact; at Level E, recognised disciplinary authority with significant influence across the profession and academia.
