• Total Remuneration $107,321 to $115,586 pa (including salary of $90,688 to $97,672 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

CQUniversity’s Digital Services Directorate delivers smart, robust digital systems that power the University’s world-class research. Our Research Information Systems team plays a key role in supporting these platforms through expert technical support, system development, and ongoing enhancement in close partnership with stakeholders.

As a Business Analyst, you will contribute to major change initiatives that shape the future of research at CQUniversity. Working alongside technical experts and external vendors, you’ll support, maintain, and improve critical systems that underpin the University’s research operations.

Your day-to-day will involve diagnosing and resolving system issues, mapping and refining business processes, and implementing digital solutions that enhance user experience and efficiency.

We’re seeking a proactive, technically capable professional with experience in information systems and strong stakeholder engagement skills. Your insights will help simplify operations, support strategic goals, and improve how our research community interacts with core systems.

Position Requirements

Essential

• Strong understanding of Information Systems and related principles, with the ability to configure systems to align with user requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to foster strong stakeholder relationships and develop communication materials that enhance awareness and understanding of technology.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the use of visual techniques to map processes, identify pain points, and highlight opportunities for improvement.
• Completed a relevant IT degree with two years of experience, or an equivalent mix of experience and education/training.

Desirable

• Experience working in a research environment or with research administration information systems.
