The Facilities Management Directorate is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the University’s built environment, ensuring campuses operate efficiently, safely and sustainably. This includes financial oversight of facilities operations, budget management, and providing administrative and financial support across a diverse portfolio.
As the Business Support Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Directorate’s financial operations. Your primary objective will be to deliver accurate financial processing, reporting and budget support, including managing purchase orders, reconciliations, invoicing and assisting with budget planning and forecasting. You will provide advice to stakeholders, ensure compliance with legislative and University requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional with strong financial and administrative experience, ideally within a complex organisation. You will confidently manage priorities, analyse financial data and uphold a high standard of service.

Position Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Business, Finance or Commerce, or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of management accounting, including budget and forecasting, and finance policy concepts and processes, ideally within higher education.
- Proven skills in financial administration, including purchase orders, invoicing, reconciliations and reporting, and the effective use of financial systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide advice to stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
