As a Clinical Academic within the School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and clinical education at the CQUniversity Health Clinic in Rockhampton. This teaching-focused position combines academic delivery with hands-on supervision, supporting students undertaking Allied Health Assistant training.

 

Working within a multidisciplinary clinic environment, you will provide clinical supervision, training and feedback to students during their practicum, contribute to assessment and unit delivery, and assist in the development of learning materials. You will also support the delivery of client-centred services aligned with best practice, contributing to safe, high-quality clinic operations.

 

This role offers the opportunity to apply your clinical expertise in an academic setting, supporting student learning while maintaining strong connections to real-world practice.

Position Requirements

 

  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, or a higher-level qualification in a relevant health discipline with industry experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach, supervise and support undergraduate students in a clinical or education setting.
  • Knowledge of academic writing standards, including research, referencing and assessment practices.
  • Strong digital capability, with experience using learning management systems and standard business software.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or a higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education (desirable).
