As a Communications Specialist – Student Advising, you’ll play an active role in developing, implementing, and reviewing student‑centred communications that are tailored to key points in the student lifecycle. You’ll also support the systems and automation tools that underpin our advising communications, helping to deliver multi‑channel campaigns that align with broader engagement strategies.

 

You’ll work collaboratively across the University to deliver clear messages to students that support academic progression, retention, completion, and engagement with university services, while enhancing communication processes to improve service quality and the overall student experience.

Position Requirements

 

  • Relevant degree and experience in student support, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a student‑centred or similar service environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with information systems, Microsoft applications, and CRM platforms, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with an understanding of the needs of culturally diverse communities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively, attention to detail and well-developed organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑based environment, adapting to changing priorities and supportive collective problem-solving.
