Working at CQUniversity

We are seeking two Community Engagement Coordinators to support this initiative – one position focusing on Rockhampton and one on Livingstone.
These positions lead community‑centred engagement that strengthens local partnerships and ensures community voices shape priorities and action. Working closely with residents, First Nations partners, service providers, schools and government, you will coordinate inclusive engagement activities, support local governance groups, and facilitate co‑design processes grounded in strengths-based, trauma-informed and culturally safe practice.
The roles suit experienced community practitioners with strong facilitation and relationship‑building skills, place‑based engagement experience, and local knowledge or lived experience in Rockhampton or Livingstone.
Based primarily on campus in Rockhampton, the positions support outcomes across the wider Capricornia Region. Capricornia offers a connected regional lifestyle with access to coastline, rural landscapes and national parks. With the Capricorn Coast and the coastal community of Yeppoon less than an hour away, the region combines meaningful work alongside a balanced and rewarding lifestyle.
