A career in the Educational Quality and Integrity Directorate will see you involved in the development and implementation of the University’s vision, by supporting initiatives and activities that ensure the quality and integrity of CQUniversity awards.

 

This key role is central to upholding the university's commitment to academic excellence and integrity, ensuring a robust and transparent approach to academic misconduct prevention and response. You will coordinate and manage CQUniversity's academic integrity efforts, advising on academic integrity processes and outcomes while contributing to continuous improvement in curriculum and assessment design.

 

You will be responsible for preparing and writing reports and recommendations for management review to be used by executives and regulatory bodies in decision making, including the academic integrity term and trend reporting. You will also be responsible for ensuring CQU has a coherent and systematic educative approach to educating staff and students about academic integrity matters, support schools and academic staff in the reporting and investigations of academic integrity breaches, and maintaining sector knowledge and academic integrity networks to ensure CQU is well informed on new developments in academic integrity, such as GenAI.

Position Requirements

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent professional experience in higher education, law, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the higher education environment including policies and procedures surrounding academic misconduct.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to handle complex academic integrity cases.
  • Proven experience in case management, report writing, and policy development in an academic or regulatory context.
  • Familiarity with academic integrity tools such as Turnitin and the ability to educate staff in their use.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders across the university.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring staff, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to work.
