The Digital Services Directorate is responsible for the planning, development, support and continuous improvement of CQUniversity’s Data Management systems. These systems are critical to the University’s success, and the team provides expert technical support and advice across faculties and divisions.
As a key member of the newly formed Data Platform Operations Management team, you will enhance our digital environment by building data assets to support data-informed decision making. You will develop and improve our data and analytics infrastructure in Microsoft Fabric, including data integration, ETL processes, and multidimensional data models. You'll work with advanced technologies like real-time intelligence, governance, and data science. Your expertise will support strategic initiatives, improve performance, and create operational efficiencies. You will be an integral part of a small, supportive and vibrant team that is working within a strong business project framework.
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused professional who has strong experience with modelling and building data assets and the ability to confidently collaborate with diverse stakeholders including fellow technical professionals, business representatives and senior stakeholders.

Position Requirements
Essential
• Strong understanding of data management technologies, including SQL, Microsoft Fabric, ETL Tools and data modelling
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders and create data assets which meet business expectations.
• Effective problem-solving skills with knowledge of techniques that can visualise processes, pain points and potential improvements.
Desirable
• Experience in the Microsoft Fabric as a toolset enabling corporate data engineering.
