CQUniversity is seeking a visionary leader for its new Centre for Health Equity in Regional and Remote Communities. As Director, you will spearhead the development of a strategic research program focused on advancing public health outcomes in regional and remote areas. Your leadership will drive new partnerships, build research capacity, and generate impactful knowledge for diverse stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include establishing strategic and operational goals, managing research initiatives, and acting as the primary liaison between CQUniversity and external partners across industry, government, and community sectors. You will play a critical role in research planning, contribute to strategy, and mentor research staff and students. Position Requirements

 

  • PhD and significant experience in rural/regional public health, with accreditation and a strong research publication record.
  • Knowledge of higher education issues and well-developed industry, research, or government networks.
  • National/International research reputation with peer-reviewed papers, competitive grants, and research networks.
  • Proven experience in leading research projects and building strong partnerships with government, industry, and community stakeholders.
  • Proven academic leadership in building successful multi-disciplinary teams and driving performance in complex organisations, with expertise in staff management and mentoring for high-quality outcomes.
  • Strong publication record in high-quality journals, with Scopus H-index and impact factors reported.
