The Digital Services Directorate drives the planning, development, support and continuous improvement of CQUniversity’s business-critical digital systems. As part of this team, you will play a vital role in planning, developing, and supporting CQUniversity’s GenAI-powered systems, which are critical to the University’s future operations.

 

Your work will directly contribute to driving positive value for CQUniversity and enhancing the digital experience for both students and staff.

About the Role

 

In this role, you will contribute to CQUniversity’s GenAI strategy and roadmap by creating and assessing architecture and solution designs, developing GenAI applications, and supporting innovation through the implementation of GenAI proof-of-concepts and prototypes. You will also foster the development of GenAI technical capability across our teams by providing advice and support to fellow developers.

 

We are seeking a proactive professional with extensive experience in software development and architecture, a passion for emerging technologies, and a strong interest in applying GenAI to real-world challenges. You will be working with the latest technology in the Microsoft AI stack, so knowledge and experience with these platforms is highly desirable. Strong communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, are essential.

Position Requirements

 

Essential

  • A detailed understanding of modern generative and agentic AI frameworks and standards.
  • A detailed understanding of programming languages, web development and agile development practices.
  • Demonstrated time/task management and project coordination skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills.

Desirable

  • Experience in GenAI application development and systems integration.
