Join CQUniversity as an Indigenous Engagement Officer and make a meaningful impact on the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. In this role, you will work within the Office of Indigenous Engagement to support initiatives aimed at increasing student participation and retention. You will engage with students and the community, manage stakeholder relationships, and contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes. Your responsibilities will include data collection, preparing documentation, and supporting students' learning and wellbeing journeys.

Position Requirements

 

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively. 
  • Proven interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the Indigenous Student Success Program (ISSP) and its current guidelines. 
  • Proficiency in the operation of Microsoft Office Software (including email, spreadsheeting and word processing).
