• Total Remuneration $110,541 to $119,053 pa (including salary of $93,409 to $100,602 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

CQUniversity’s Internal Audit team is a key component of the University's governance framework. The team supports the achievement of organisational objectives through independent audits that evaluate the efficiency, effectiveness, economy and ethics of controls, systems and processes.

About the Position

• Conduct environmental scanning, risk and control assessments, and assist in developing audit programs.
• Collect and analyse data, prepare audit findings, and draft recommendations.
• Maintain audit registers and monitor progress of agreed actions.
• Become an expert and provide guidance on university policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Support management by contributing to strategic and annual audit plans.

Position Requirements

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in auditing, accounting, business processes or project work; or extensive experience and specialist expertise.
• Strong analytical thinking and well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience in financial and business process controls, audit fieldwork, data analysis or stakeholder engagement is desirable.
