You will make defined contributions to the teaching effort of the School of Education and the Arts by supporting students through the delivery of lectures, seminars and workshops, as well as developing high engagement unit materials and contemporary assessment.

You will also make a positive contribution to team culture and contribute to curriculum development, writing and evaluation, with a keen interest in furthering flexible modes of delivery to students.

Position Requirements

 

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant field of research or scholarship.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and societies, and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and engage Initial Teacher Education students in the study of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories through a multimodal delivery approach.
  • Evidence of publication in high quality academic journals or other equally recognised relevant research or scholarship production.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in areas of research strength and a willingness to engage in sourcing and obtaining external grants and contracts with a particular focus on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples and/or communities and/or perspectives.
