About the Role

 

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, contributing to curriculum design, and advancing research within the School. Your teaching will span lectures, tutorials, clinical sessions, and hands-on workshops, supporting student learning across both on-campus and online environments. You will coordinate units, supervise honours or postgraduate students, and engage in scholarly and professional activities. With a strong clinical background, you'll bring current knowledge and practice into the learning environment, supporting student success across the oral health courses. Position Requirements

 

  • A postgraduate qualification (or equivalent) in Dentistry, Oral Health, or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience as a dentist, oral health therapist, dental hygienist or dental therapist with adult scope of practice.
  • A sound understanding of current professional and educational issues in oral health.
  • Current full registration as a dental practitioner with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) and the Dental Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate students and support their educational development through diverse, multi-modal teaching strategies.
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching/Education.
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with industry and community stakeholders.
  • Strong teamwork skills with effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
