CQUniversity is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Legal Support Officer within the University Solicitor’s Office. We are looking for someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
In this pivotal role, you'll provide high-level administrative and paralegal assistance, ensuring the smooth operation of legal processes. You'll manage legal data entry, prioritise and allocate legal matters, and assist with compliance and process improvements. Your responsibilities will include supporting solicitors with matter management, document preparation, and handling right to information and privacy requests.

Position Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge, of relevant legislation, including the Right to Information Act 2009 (Qld), Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld), Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and other relevant laws.
- High level analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to apply practical solutions to problems and achieve deadlines.
- Proficient in the use of University systems, and the MS Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Excel.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of legal management systems and compliance processes.
- Knowledge of, or ability to quickly acquire knowledge, of University policies and procedures.
