Join CQUniversity’s Finance Directorate, where you'll contribute to key functions including financial monitoring and performance, procurement, purchasing, accounts management, and compliance.

 

Our Financial Accounting and Operations Team, supports internal and external financial management and reporting, ensures strong financial governance to support the University’s strategic goals, and drives innovation and commercialisation initiatives.

 

As a Payments Officer, you will support the team in processing incoming funds, managing accounts payable (including foreign currency transactions), and providing cashiering support, while ensuring compliance with audit and legislative requirements. The position also includes customer service, reconciliation tasks, and contributing to continuous improvement within the Finance Operations Team.

Position Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of accounting procedures, particularly in accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Proven ability to deliver professional customer service and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience using large corporate accounting systems and business software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage time effectively, and contribute to process improvements.
  • Completion of a relevant associate diploma qualification or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Desirable)
