As a Peer Advising Specialist, you will play a key role in coordinating programs that enrich the student experience, including transition support, peer-to-peer initiatives, and student leadership opportunities. In collaboration with the Peer Advising Team Leader, you will coordinate with students, professional and academic staff to expand the reach of these programs across the University. Your work will empower students to connect with the CQUniversity community, access valuable resources, and support their active participation in shaping their educational experience.

Position Requirements

 

  • Understanding of student experience issues including retention and employability in higher education.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating projects or initiatives that enhance the student experience in a higher education setting, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • High-level organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Relevant degree, or diploma with at least 2 years’ experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Desirable).
