We are dedicated to building the capability of Australia’s agricultural workforce through innovative education and research initiatives. Our projects focus on upskilling current professionals and inspiring the next generation to embrace careers in food and fibre production by integrating technology, data-driven decision-making, and safety practices across the supply chain.

 

We are seeking a Project Officer to support innovative research and education projects that build the skills and knowledge of Australia’s agricultural workforce. In this role, you will help deliver key milestones for external projects such as GrowHer, Agribusiness Gateways, and RACE Victoria.

 

You’ll work closely with industry partners, educators, and researchers to design engaging content, manage project timelines, and communicate outcomes through dynamic media strategies. Position Requirements

 

  • Relevant degree in agriculture, animal science, or agribusiness with experience; or an associate diploma plus two years’ experience; or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Experience creating and sharing project communications across media platforms and producing visually appealing reports.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills to meet project goals and engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to work independently on research tasks—data collection, analysis—and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent time management to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and solve problems with minimal supervision.
