An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated administration professional to join CQUniversity’s Research Centre and Institute Research Administration (CIRA) team in Rockhampton. The CIRA team provides administrative support to research projects led by World Class researchers spanning ten Research Institutes and Research Centres.

 

 

The Research Division oversees and manages CQUniversity’s research activities to ensure compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework. Its mission is to foster a research environment that inspires staff and students to develop and grow their research portfolios and exceed performance expectations.

 

In this role, you will provide high-level administrative support to the Directors. You will support research projects by organising travel, assisting with financial processes and recruitment in addition to providing procedural and policy advice.

 

You will be a key part in driving research operational excellence and enabling impactful research outcomes!

Position Requirements

 

  • Relevant qualification or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Proficiency in a range of computer software programs and corporate information systems and databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience undertaking financial processes, monitoring and tracking budgets, organising purchasing/travel and undertaking HR related processes.
  • Proven ability to provide secretarial support to committees.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, solve problems and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
