CQUniversity Library delivers digital library services differently. In this position you will be a member of the Library Client Services team providing expert advice and education on the use of information resources and systems in teaching and research, research data management practices, scholarly publishing and open access, and copyright. Your responsibilities will include:

 

•    Providing user-centred general and subject discipline-specific research advice and support to staff and students, via one-on-one consultations, workshops, and online materials;
•    Providing advice and support for researchers on data management plans, scholarly communication, metrics and open access, and systematic searching;
•    Proactively supporting the management of the library’s collections in collaboration with academics and the library resources team to enhance the teaching, learning and research objectives of the university.

Position Requirements

 

  • Eligible for associate, or allied field membership with the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
  • Relevant experience in providing advanced information services with the proven ability to use high-level problem solving and decision-making skills to resolve complex problems and improve business processes;
  • Advanced skills and experience with a wide range of electronic resources, systems and software used in a library environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts, convey information in a non-technical manner and consult with a diverse range of internal and external clients.
