CQUniversity is seeking a qualified furnishing tradesperson or experienced cabinet maker who’s passionate about sharing their skills and shaping the future of the industry. Step off the tools and into a rewarding teaching role where you will inspire the next generation of furniture makers and finishers.

 

In this position, you’ll deliver the Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology, equipping students with practical, hands-on training in areas like furniture construction, timber technology, and finishing techniques. Your real-world experience in the furnishing trade will be instrumental in helping students build job-ready skills.

 

Whether you’re guiding practical sessions, facilitating discussions, or mentoring up-and-coming apprentices, your knowledge will help shape the future of the trade - and your own career.

You’ll be paid to earn while you learn the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, with full support from our team. Position Requirements

 

  • Trade qualifications in Cabinetmaking, Shopfitting, Joinery or Furniture Making.
  • Willingness to obtain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122), if not already completed. 
  • Knowledge of the education and training sector and the ability to positively respond to new directions and demands of the training market.
  • Recent, relevant industry experience and demonstrated practical trade skills.
