The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences is responsible for facilitating immersive learning experiences for students, including coordinating simulation activities and providing support and advice to faculties and divisions across a range of specialties.

 

As a key member of the Technical Simulation Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of student learning and proficiency. Your primary objective will be to coordinate and organise simulation activities, delivering exceptional support and guidance to our diverse student community. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with significant technical and administrative experience and expertise in using clinical simulation tools and equipment. You will confidently manage simulation setups, oversee logistical operations, adhere to industry standards and safety guidelines, and consistently uphold a high standard of service.

Position Requirements

 

  • Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety in teaching/lab environments, with skills in risk assessment.
  • Relevant qualifications in a health discipline, ranging from degree completion to certificate level with extensive experience.
  • Strong communication skills for effective liaison with students and clients in planning technical simulation activities.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and complete work autonomously.
  • Experience or ability to quickly learn preparation of simulated solutions and operation of clinical equipment, following relevant standards and legislation.
