As a Vocational Admissions Officer, you will play a vital role in guiding prospective and current students through the admissions process with care, accuracy and professionalism. You will manage the early stages of applications, including requesting and assessing supporting documentation, completing system checks, initiating pre-enrolment testing, and ensuring accurate data entry across systems.
Drawing on your knowledge of policies and legislation, you will provide informed advice, resolve routine enquiries, and escalate more complex matters as required to ensure efficient and compliant outcomes. You will also contribute to reporting activities and support the smooth day to day operation of the admissions function.
This fast paced, student-centred role will suit someone who thrives on collaboration, values service excellence, and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely outcomes. As a key point of contact for applicants and internal stakeholders, you will build positive relationships, support a high standard of customer service, and contribute to continuous improvement across the Students Directorate.

Position Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of information systems, Microsoft Office suite, email and web-based platforms, customer relationship management systems and quality frameworks to achieve accurate and timely outcomes.
- Knowledge, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge, of CQUniversity courses, policies and procedures, and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage administrative tasks efficiently, prioritise competing demands, and solve problems proactively.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality customer service, including effectively managing enquiries, building positive relationships, and responding to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with the capacity to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
