In this student-facing role, you’ll be the first point of contact for behavioural concerns and safety-related disclosures, including bullying, harassment, sexual violence, discrimination and domestic or family violence. You’ll conduct person-centred impact assessments and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify support, education, and intervention pathways.

 

As part of the Safer Communities team, you’ll contribute to early intervention strategies, harm prevention, and health promotion initiatives, while supporting students' wellbeing and academic success.

 

You will use your judgement to assess risk, respond sensitively and appropriately, and maintain accurate case documentation through incident management systems. Your trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approach will help ensure students feel heard, supported and safe. Position Requirements

 

  • Experience supporting individuals with psychosocial safety concerns using trauma-informed approaches.
  • Skilled in conducting first response interviews and intake or triage in a client or student service setting.
  • Proven ability to assess and escalate risk, including activating emergency procedures when required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to professional ethics and effective stakeholder communication.
  • Relevant degree and experience, or equivalent combination of education and specialist expertise.
