The School of Engineering and Technology at CQUniversity is dedicated to delivering excellence in education and research across engineering and technology disciplines, including Information and Communications Technology (ICT). The College of ICT offers Bachelor and Masters degrees with specialisations including software development, cyber security and business analysis, and contributes leading research in artificial intelligence, data science, smart agriculture and ICT education.
As a key member of the ICT Team, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of technology professionals. Your responsibilities will include developing and delivering engaging Bachelors and Masters subjects in ICT, conducting research aligned with CQU’s strengths, and contributing to scholarship and engagement activities while maintaining a strong focus on student engagement and academic excellence. We seek a proactive and detail-oriented educator with experience in ICT teaching and research, capable of effectively managing unit coordination, subject delivery and maintaining high academic standards. While outstanding candidates in all areas of ICT will be considered, we are especially interested in candidates with teaching and/or research experience in Cyber Security and Networking.

Position Requirements
- A PhD in Information and Communications Technology or a closely related field.
- Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching/Education.
- Knowledge of current higher education issues and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to support students and promote CQUniversity.
- Membership of the Australian Computer Society or a willingness to obtain membership. Membership of other relevant professional bodies is desirable.
- Experience in teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students, with a focus on multi-modal delivery and student support.
- Strong teamwork, research, communication, and curriculum development skills, particularly in flexible learning environments.
