We are seeking a talented individual who will make a real impact on the local, national, and international communities we serve. We are looking for a strong educational leader with experience in supporting student’s education development through multi-modal delivery strategies and mentoring students to achieve learning goals. You will contribute to the research development and curriculum upgrading and to the wider academic, scholarly, professional and research requirements of the School of Engineering and Technology and be a key contributor to research output in the college of Project Management, Built Environment, Asset & Maintenance Management.
Applicants at this level are expected to be professionally active with well-defined teaching philosophy within the field of Construction Management. You will have a proven track record in teaching within the Built Environment course. Applicants should hold a relevant PhD and be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of research and teaching experience in higher education.
Position Requirements
- Possession of a doctoral qualification (PhD) in Building, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Education.
- Undertake original research with a view to publishing in refereed journals; and collaborate with other academic staff both within and outside of the University.
- Applicants with Australian Building and Construction Management experience are encouraged to apply.
- Must have Australian Visa work rights.
- Understanding of current professional and education issues in higher education and the ability to engage and work effectively with colleagues to support students and promote CQUniversity.
- Demonstrated capacity to engage and network effectively with industry and community partners and stakeholders and secure external funding and research collaboration.
- The position is based in Sydney.
We value applicants with experience in teaching in other disciplines including Asset and Maintenance and Construction Management courses.
