CQUniversity’s School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and innovative Senior Lecturer - Field Education to join the team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the teaching and professional practice of the social work discipline, with a focus on Field Education, fostering connections between students, industry, and the academic community.

As a key member of the academic team, you will oversee the Master of Social Work (Qualifying) course, including assessment requirements for all placement courses/units. You will build and maintain partnerships with social work agencies, including State Government, Non-Government organisations, and private facilities to ensure placement opportunities meet professional requirements.

Position Requirements

• Possession of a doctoral qualification (PhD) in social work is a requirement of this role.
• BSW or MSW (Q) and eligible for membership of the AASW.
• Proven ability to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate University students with experience engaging with tertiary students and supporting their educational development through multi-modal and online delivery strategies.
• Demonstrated experience in social work as a practitioner or educator.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching / Education.
