The Wellbeing Directorate is responsible for supporting student counselling and wellbeing, including providing guidance on personal and study-related matters that may impact academic progress or personal development.
As a key member of the Counselling Team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing student wellbeing, resilience, and academic success. Your primary objective will be to provide psycho-social-educational counselling, assess and refer students to relevant support services, and develop proactive wellbeing programs. You will deliver exceptional student support services to a diverse university community.
We are seeking a proactive and empathetic professional with significant experience in counselling, psychology, or social work. Expertise in developing wellbeing initiatives, delivering workshops, and using student support systems is essential. You will confidently provide counselling, promote wellbeing activities, and uphold professional ethical standards.

Position Requirements
- Relevant degree (psychology, social work, counselling, occupational therapy) with at least four years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of counselling theory, psychological disorders, and transitional issues.
- Understanding of equity, social justice, and support for diverse student groups, including international students.
- Commitment to professional ethics and best practices in counselling.
- Proficiency in information systems, Microsoft Office, and customer relationship tools.
- Excellent communication skills with experience delivering psycho-social-educational programs and supporting student wellbeing.
